Former part owner of the South Tahoe Nugget Sharkey loved the old west and provided a glimpse of it through the extensive .collection of western memorabilia on display. The casino, originally named the Golden Bubble, was renamed upon purchase. Sharkey was one of the pioneers of Northern Nevada gaming, counting among his many friends Bill Harrah.
